No.1 Sarcasm
The British are really sarcastic, to the point where it might actually annoy foreigners. It annoys Americans, because we do it too much.

A good example of sarcasm is where a person might say something, but the way they say it is meant to be taken as meaning the opposite.

As an example, when something is expected to happen, especially after warning someone about it, such as spilling a drink, one could say “What a surprise”.

Or, if someone says something very obvious, someone else in the room could say “Really Sherlock. Very clever!”
